Tuesdays After school Until 4:30
|
This program has been developed specifically for students who have been identified by the NWEA & DRA test as reading below grade level or who have been identified by their teachers as needing additional help in reading. Every Tuesday after school in the Library until 4:30 students will have the opportunity to participate in fun reading activities. We will work on fluency with activities like reader’s theater, poetry, and timed readings. We will also work on comprehension skills with fun facts to know and share, reading games, crafts, and how to’s. Each session will be individually designed to be fun and packed full of strategic reading interventions.
Tuesdays 7:30 a.m. Breakfast & Books Reading Club
Something new for students this semester is our new Books & Breakfast Reading Club that will start Tuesday, January 14th at 7:30 a.m. in the library. This club is going to be focusing on Reading Fluency, Comprehension, Intervention Activities, and we will be enjoying Hot Cocoa! Students may bring a portable breakfast such as pop tarts, muffins, or a granola bar to enjoy or they can eat breakfast at 8:10 in the cafeteria. We hope your child can attend!
